Miami Heat wins 2012 NBA Championship

I know this is a tad late, but now is the time I would usually make a snide remark or two, or three, or four, or five, or six, or seven, but there really isn't any thing for me to say. I mean, look how happy Bron and 'em is to win that chip. Congrats to them. Plus, Skip Bayless and the good folks at ESPN First Take has really made me numb to the whole Lebron/Heat subject. Oh yeah, they were my preseason pick to win it all.

NBA Finals: Heat vs. Thunder

So, my preseason prediction came into fruition. This matchup should be one for the ages. The 3-time MVP, Lebron James verses the 3-time scoring champ, Kevin Durant. Youth verses experience. Big 3 verses Big 3... Okay, y'all get the point. So, who ya got?

Dallas Mavericks win NBA Championship

Dallas gets revenge for the 2006 Finals and wins the Larry O'Brien Trophy for the first time in franchise history. They beat the Miami Heat team that looked pretty much invincible in the Eastern Conference Finals 4-2. Dirk Nowitzki wins the Finals MVP. They beat  KILLED my Lakers in the conference semis, but I'm glad they beat the Heat and got Dirk a ring... Congratulations Mavs, maybe this is a sign of things to come in Dallas. Maybe?

Not to mention favorite of all time (not named Michael Jordan or [post-Shaq] Kobe Bryant)! After the jump is his unofficially official retirement announcement! Good Luck in the post-NBA life! NBA Finals: Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat

Well if it ain't 2006 all over again! I wish it was Lakers/Celtics, but we had to go all Days of our Lives and the Celtics... let's just say they were Old and Reckless...haha. Nowitzki didn't have a problem with DRAGGING my Lakers, so cool off the Heat, Dirk!
Who y'all got?

Well, it's official, Derrick Rose is the youngest MVP in NBA history... that was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Kevin Love: Double-Double King

First off, in basketball a double-double is double figures two statistical categories. Back to the topic, no lie, coming out of college, I was like "this dude is not gonna pan out at the next level" I'm not too proud to admit I was wrong, Tonight he broke Moses Malone's record(s) of 44 and 51 doubles-doubles. This is the most consecutive double-doubles since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976 Congrats young man, keep going hard, you got two more to catch! Only Elvin Hayes (55) and Wilt Chamberlain (247) have had longer streaks.

Deron Williams to Nets.

WOW! This came outta nowhere! D-Will is headed to the Nets. I'm glad he's no longer on the Jazz, because, for some reason, I just don't like them. The Jazz get Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, 1st round draft picks in 2011and 2012 and cash. The power is shifting to the East!

Griffin Wins Dunk Contest

I told ya'll... Too much hype and anticipation! Even though, on the PURE DUNKING CREATIVITY scale, I feel like McGee got him. Griffin's first dunk was probably my favorite one, [or maybe the Vince Carter dunk] They all put on a show. Best one in a while! The future of the NBA is looking bright.
In other news, James Jones won the 3-point shootout

Doc Rivers, Von Wafer (sort of), and Ray Allen on Delonte West and Von Wafer's fight.

Teammates Delonte West and Von Wafer are not seeing eye to eye.
I'm usually not one fighting and violence and all that but...
I'm still mad that they didn't have footage... HAHAHA!!! Let's go Lakers!

Udonis Haslem arrested in Florida

The Miami Heat forward was cited for possession of drugs, most likely marijuana.  I'm sure that won't help the team in this time of transition considering he just signed a new 5-year contract.

Sources: T-Mac to the Pistons

Tracy McGrady, 31 signs a one year/$1.3 million deal with the Detroit Pistons. Once a highlight waiting to happen, Tracy McGrady's career has been injury plagued and he's seemed to have lost a step... Can he get back to the T-Mac that we all know? We'll see...
