JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 19

This is one I started a while back but, never finished. After a few tweeks and additional cuts and stuff, it's as finished as it's gonna get! LOL... Seriously though, this is a rather boom-bappy type track... kinda gritty sounding too. check it out.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 18

(pronounced: Do what you want to do) This is a pretty simple, what-you-see-is-what-you-get type chill track. It may make an appearance on a certain EP dropping in the near future!

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 17

I have to apologize for slacking on the my weekly posts (and the blog in general) as of late. I have been working tirelessly on this Mellow Tonin' EP with the homie, Quell Keith. Truth be told, you'll get plenty of samples, drums, and synths, as well as some top notch spittin'! Please be patient with me as I'm posting another American Gangster instrumental...

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 16

DAMMIT! I'm late again! LOL!Yet another American Gangster instrumental. It's OLD! I still like it!

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 15

That girl is POISOOONNNN!!!! This track has that bounce to it... and who doesn't like a chipmunked sample with some 808s? Enjoy.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 14

Here is an EXTRA LATE edition of DrumSampleSynths... Blogger has been f'ing up lately. Anyway, y'all remember on Billy Madison when he calls the crazy dude and apologizes about picking on him while they where growing up? This is the song playing in the background... I chopped it up. It's an older track and some of y'all may have heard it.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 13

Fresh off the presses, a chill, laid back joint. Check it out... and GOOD TIMES HAVE NEVER FELT SO GOOOODDDD!!!

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 12

This samples Love Ballad by L.T.D. The main line "What we have is much more..." runs though the beat, once again, it's rather raw... This is one of my favorites... I'm sorry for falling slack on these last couple weeks of DrumSampleSynth, OutLandysh Fam, enjoy this one! I comes from a couple years ago. I got some good stuff lined up for the next couple weeks...

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 11

SORRY Y'ALL! I was actually out having a life and forgot to post part 11. This is a little raw, I chopped up Donell Jones' 'Where I Wanna Be' vocals and they are tossed here and there. Check it out.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 10

This track is actually about a year old too, It samples one of my favorite joints from Thicke's first album. It's got an upbeat feel about it... y'all check it out.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 9

I flipped the dance classic, One More Time by Daft Punk... This is a track I did about a year ago... It takes the break down and sort of builds around it... check it out.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 8

ohhhh oh sweet thing... Gotta love Chaka Khan!

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 7

This is an OLD track... If any of y'all heard my Motown Gangster tape, this should sound familiar. I took Jay-Z's vocals out and now you have DrumSampleSynths Pt. 7.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 6

I cut this one up pretty good... it's laid back and little less involved than last week's...

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 5

I figured I'd sample Kanye West before Kanye West did... Peep it!

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 4

This sample is a crate-digging find, and the beat is OLLLDDD!!! LOL

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 3

To tell the truth, when I was younger, I used to only hear the intro to this song and thought the whole thing was an instrumental tune, all that aside,  I always loved this tune and I figured I'd put a little JLan to it. Enjoy.

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 2

SWV came with the hits back in the day! So, I figured I'd bring back bits and pieces of one of their slow jams, "Rain".

JLan - DrumSampleSynths Pt. 1

NEW WEEKLY SERIES! These will basically showcase my willingness to flip ANY song thats put in front of me. LOL Seriously though, I think these oughta get rather interesting along the way... Some new, some old, just like last time. I'll show you how to do this son! haha

This week is the electropop hit, "Bulletproof", why not, hip-hop artists like to brag about shooting and getting shot anyway, right? I thought it would fit. Check it out, and as always, ALL feedback is welcome.
