Marz Lovejoy is and up-and-coming feMC/singer from Cali. I had to take a few listens, but she grew on me something serious! Dope stuff, google/youtube/vimeo her. This cut features Smoke DZA, another dope up-and-comer. Her This Little Light of Mine EP is on iTunes. Check her out.
Ab-Soul's LongTerm: Mentality is coming April 5th.
Dude went CRAZY on this.
I think I'm Jimi Hendrix, I think I'm Kurt Cobain, I think I'm John Lennon...
This is an OLD track... If any of y'all heard my Motown Gangster tape, this should sound familiar. I took Jay-Z's vocals out and now you have DrumSampleSynths Pt. 7.
Born February 23, 1932, Taylor is considered one of the great actresses of Hollywood's golden age. She passed away today, March 23, 2011. Today, I purchased albums from opposite sides of the spectrum, Angles By the Strokes and W.A.R (We Are Renegades) by Pharoahe Monch. Considering I've been waiting on an album by the Strokes for 5 years, I listened to it first, front to back, )it's only 30-some-odd minutes long.) It's good. ...different, but good! This is a totally new sound for them. I'll have to update y'all on Monch, up to track 3, it's bangin' and the guy that rang me up at Manifest said he heard nothing but good reviews... Y'all check these albums out!
I remember buying this album in '06. I used to ride to it ALL THE TIME! Five years later comes a video for one of my favorites from it and it's STILL banging!
The highly anticipated G.O.O.D. music debut mixtape from Pusha T. Let's see if this can dethrone 'Gift Raps' as my favorite mixtape of the year thus far.
Back cover and download link is after the jump.
This cypher features the remaining three, Big K.R.I.T., Fred The Godson & Meek Mill. This might actually be the last outing for this class as a group... and maybe some of them individually... LOL
Black Eyed Peas on Outlandysh Society... I know at least one of y'all like the Peas... maybe? LOL Really, it's actually not that bad. On a serious note, this was shot in Japan one week before the earthquake and tsunami, I pray they restore Japan quickly!
Born as Nathaniel Hale, Nate Dogg, 41, passed away on March 15th after several years of health problems. There is no official cause of his death, but he has suffered two strokes in the past few years. With hits such as 'Regulators' and 'Area Codes', chances are, he sang your favorite hook. With the voice to turn songs into instant classics, he will be missed, but never forgotten.
Always good to welcome a new face. Especially when she is this dope. The homie, Foster Byrd of War Rap Records dropped this gem by me. She reminds me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it! More will be on the way from Ranee Monique, actually it might be later this week.
"Celebrated creative mind Alex Haldi has collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Big Boi, Wu-Tang, Ludacris, J. Cole & LL Cool J, and is putting the finishing touches on his own solo art event May 12, 2011 in NYC at World Monuments Fund Gallery. Exploring the human fascination with organized crime, ‘The Glorification of Gangster’ showcases some of the key players and criminal lifestyles across the globe and many generations. Portions of work sold will be going to charity.
A promotional mixtape is to be released in the next month which will include a series of original music, mash-up remixes, and classic covers by a number of different acts that are all linked thematically with ‘Crime’. Cole, Kris Kasanova, Voli, Andrew Maury (Ra Ra Riot producer and RAC), Jon Connor, Elite, Ritz, Lyn Charles, Loyal Divide, Neitherfriends, and many more. To be honest, I've downloaded two of their mixtapes and only paid attention to one song, but I'm sure that its good stuff involved... I guess I need to step my game up. LOL This jazzy tune is the business, though!
When you can complain about NFL labor talks, gas prices, etc, you don't know how good you have it. Japan is suffering from the effects of an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.9.near the east coast of Honshu, causing devastating tsunami waves. The whole pacific area is feeling the effects including Hawaii and California. Above is footage from an eyewitness during the quake.
First off, in basketball a double-double is double figures two statistical categories. Back to the topic, no lie, coming out of college, I was like "this dude is not gonna pan out at the next level" I'm not too proud to admit I was wrong, Tonight he broke Moses Malone's record(s) of 44 and 51 doubles-doubles. This is the most consecutive double-doubles since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976 Congrats young man, keep going hard, you got two more to catch! Only Elvin Hayes (55) and Wilt Chamberlain (247) have had longer streaks.
I'm about to break two Outlandysh Society rules today with one post, by posting two 'classics' and by posting a non-video youtube video, but you can do such when it involves L.T.D and/or Jeffrey Osborne. Today is Osborne's 63rd birthday. L.T.D. is one of my favorite R&B/Soul acts. How many 22-year-olds do you know with an L.T.D album collection? Old-heads enjoy! LOL
With a new mixtape dropping on the 11th, Miller is having pretty good year thus far. This is actually one of the better freshman freestyles I've heard this year. Props, Mac!
I'm a Wiz Khalifa fan, but I was starting to doubt if 'Rolling Papers' was going to be worth much, This gives me hope. Official artwork and iTunes link is after the jump. Enjoy.
As far as the West goes, I still prefer Black Hippy, but these cats are cool too! This mixtape caught me off guard, I didn't know it was dropping today. Peep it...

*Side note: UGGGHHH Cannon, Cannon, Cannon.
How can you not like Asher Roth. He just does him. Not to mention, the crazy flow and lyrics. I guess it's not enough cars, clothes and money... smh I hear it's a video on the way for this obviously SNL-skit influenced song.
Welcome the new face to the Society, Slim 100. The young'n has been on the grind in Batesburg-Leesville, SC for a minute now. This is one for the ladies, Y'all will hear more from the homie! Check it out!
I am not a huge fan Lil Wayne's music for the most part, for some reason, I just don't know...LOL with that being said, this is the first tolerable song from him that I've heard for a long time! Plus, in my opinion, Cory Gunz did his thing on this joint... check out the video...
I try to keep a clean[er] environment around here LOL, but I'm a HUGE Cool Kids fan, with that being said... Sir Micheal Rocks is being well... Sir Micheal Rocks. This is the first single from the Rocks Report mixtape. Warning: This is not the cleanest song... including the beat... LOL
This is PURE INSANITY! More of the same is necessary! Plus it was produced by Columbia, SC native SupaHot Beats. Drop by and give the homie a shout out!
